Dr. Carolyn Mckenzie Flanary, DDS

Dr. Flanary's Story Graduating with honors, Dr. Carolyn Flanary completed her dental and orthodontic education at the Medical College of Virginia. From 1980 to 1984 she served as Co-Director of the Dentofacial Deformities Clinic of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 1986 she received the Research of Merit Award from the Foundation for Orthodontic Research, leading to various contributions in textbooks and professional journals. She has lectured nationally and internationally on the subject of orthodontics. Dr. Flanary has enjoyed leadership positions in various professional organizations including being a member of the Board of Directors and Past President of the Foundation for Orthodontic Research, member of the Board of Directors of Leadership American and member of Leadership Texas, San Antonio 100, Southwest Society of Orthodontists and American Association of Orthodontists. Having been in the practice of orthodontics for over 20 years, Dr. Flanary …finds one of her greatest joys is the ongoing friendships she cherishes with her patients. Rounding out her schedule are special times spent with her husband, Dr. Glen Fritz, and her blue Weimaraner dogs, Isabel and Maximillion.
