Dr. Carolyn Goh, MD

Horrible interpersonal skills. She is rude, curt, and generally lacks empathy. Absolutely shocking to experience when dealing with an issue as sensitive as hair loss. You can find much better care elsewhere. Despite her fantastic credentials, Dr.Goh doesn’t seem to care enough about her patients to help them really get value out of seeing her. There are far better options.

this doctor really lacks empathy for her patients. i have a progressing disease that needs treatment and she has cancelled over 10 of my appointments. her staff is incredibly rude and never offers me an alternative other then to reschedule in a year. I am ofter rescheduling appointment that I already rescheduled. It's really sad how she has complete disregard for her patients.

Horrific bedside manner. Curt, short, almost disrespectful. Feels like she thinks extremely highly of herself and you are a lowly piece of nothing in her way, wasting her time. She literally has zero empathy, bedside manner or care for others. The 4 month wait in her schedule is because she has few clinic days not because she is a popular doctor.

Kept me waiting for a long time and then was totally dismissive regarding my skin concerns. Will never go back to her.

I think all the reviews online regarding Dr. Goh make me wonder why she is still practicing. I waited 6 months to get an appointment, was charged over $1,000 and the advise given was for a drug that is not supposed to be used by women and children (I am a women). Can't use the meds I paid for and UCLA will not remove the charges. Very disappointed with her and UCLA in general.

absolute worst doctor I have ever seen, absolutely shocked that Dr. Carolyn Goh runs the UCLA Hair Clinic. She exhibited an absolute disregard for me as a patient and gave me the absolute bear minimum attention and care. I went for a complicated multi-year scalp issue and she gave my scalp a cursory look before trying to put me in a simple box and recommending treatment that set me back in my recovery another 6 months. AVOID DR. CAROLYN GOH LIKE THE PLAGUE. She should have her medical license revoked.

I met with Dr. Carolyn Goh today for a routine skin check and to check out a weird growth. Although I had to wait 3 months for an appointment, I was taken inside after only a few moments and the Doctor followed shortly thereafter. I found her pleasant and informative. She explained everything she was doing and made sure I felt no discomfort. There is a good follow up procedure. The office even partially validates parking - a 20% discount, but you have to ask for it. Overall, a positive experience and I recommend this doctor.

I asked her if my condition could be remedied by diet and she said no. Turns out my alopecia is an autoimmune disease. I cured it with the AIP diet. She overcharged me for something she knew she couldn't fix with her injections.

Her staff and herself show absolutely no compassion, patients are treated like cattle. Someone needs to remind them that they are not the only dermatology specialists in LA. Make this place your last choice.
