Dr. Carolyn O Robinson, MD

My son (almost 2) saw Dr. Robinson today who was filling in for the very much loved and respected Dr. Wiese. I told the person who took the appointment and the nurse that my son's colds most often turn into croup. (The inflammation and narrowing of the bronchial tubes which causes a constant barking cough). He has had it 2-3 times before and each time, only found relief with a short course of prednisone. Today, we had not slept in 3 days and Dr. Robinson came in telling me that the cough was just sinus drainage without even looking in his mouth or throat and that he would need to work that out on his own. This, during the already stressful week before Christmas, was unbelievable. All this is doing is causing my child to prolong his misery. I would give zero stars if I could.

I love Dr. Robinson and the staff at Carmel Pediatrics! We also really like Dr. Stoesz - he's been the doctor on call for both of my holiday births. I'm not a fan of throwing medicine at my child - I like a more natural approach, with medicine as a last resort. Dr. Robinson is NOT someone who is going to write you a prescription for every little thing. My girls are pretty healthy overall, but they've had their share of sniffles and Dr. Robinson has never encouraged me to medicate them beyond baby tylenol. Also, I had a lot of questions about vaccines and she took the time to answer them honestly and knowledgeably. My daughter was having some issues with her speech and Dr. Robinson encouraged me to just bring her to my other child's appointment so that I only had to make one trip. If you have lots of little ones, you understand how wonderful it was to make one trip instead of two! This practice has an hour each morning where you can call in and ask questions. I like being able… to call in for the little things like "my baby has this cough, can I give her a honey?" The only complaint I have is that it is hard to reach this group on the weekend. I understand that doctors have lives too, but it'd be nice to have that AM phone call available or something.

My daugher has gone to Dr. Robinson since she was born. She is an amazing physician. Not only does she spend the extra time when needed but she explains things in terms my daughter can understand. My daughter is up for her 6th grade shots and is actually looking forward to her visit because she hasn't seen Dr. Robinson in a while. Dr. Robinson is amazing with children and her love of children shows with her bedside manner. I would highly recommend her.

We love Dr. Robinson... I feel like she is a partner in caring for my children. I have received phone calls from her at home to follow up on a hurt child. I am comfortable calling her and asking her questions and knowing our line of communication is clear and open.

Dr. Robinson is a great doctor. I have taken all of my children to her and my oldest is 9 years old now. She is available during phone hour every morning for general questions and it is very easy to get a same day "sick" appointment when needed (as she blocks time out of her schedule every morning for sick appts.) Highly recommended... she is one of the best!
