Dr. Caron Renee Aghareza, MD

Would give -100 stars here if only that were an option but I have to leave one star for a review. I have never ever met a more uncaring, dismissive, and incompetent emergency doctor come this half of the century. Her front desk encouraged me to offer diagnostic imaging performed before only for her shoot down my information. Her redundant X ray showed nothing clinically significant encouraging her to hand me a useless prescription. Come on, I was expecting a cortisone injection not a painkiller for my nerve pain. Come discharge time, a bedraggled nurse handed some papers telling me to go to the pharmacy. At least have the heart to talk to your patients upfront Dr. Aghareza. The county hospital has their doctors send their patients off at discharge. The prescribed medications never worked and the condition is progressively deteriorating. John Muir Hospital was a lot better before she arrived to abuse policies. We will call in advance to to avoid her at all costs.

I have never seen a doctor who blatantly ignored patients pain and suffering without controlling the bleeding from the accident that he had. He waited approximately 3 hours after the CT scan to get the results while continuing to bleed with no one to clean his bruised up face from all the blood gushing out from all his very deep cuts. Finally she stitched up the deep wounds and said he was discharged. We requested again to have his wounds and face cleaned up and said “just was his face with soap and water”. This was unacceptable for a professional to not do her job by not sending any of her staff clean him up and do there job. This has been a traumatizing experience for my entire family specially my father. If there is a next time, we will call to find out which doctor is in the emergency room before we go there. If she is there we will have the ambulance take us to a different hospital. I believe she treated us in such a demeaning way because we are Mexican. NOT even our vet treats… our dogs in such ways when they have needed surgery. My vet treats my dogs much better than my father was treated yesterday.

My 80 yr old father had a really bad fall and was rushed to the emergency room by an ambulance. My father was treated by Dr. Aghareza and my father’s face was covered with blood from the deep huge cuts that he got and we the family kept asking to have my father’s face cleaned, since the bleeding was not stopping and was running down to his eyes and face, the doctor just ignored us along with the nurses and at the end Dr.Aghareza discharged my father to go home with his face full of fresh blood and ready dried blood too, we have always have gotten a great service by the John Muir emergency team, but this time it was the worse by Dr. Aghareza, seems like she is in the wrong profession and she is just there collect a pay check. We definitely will think about twice to use the Walnut Creek, hospital with the horrible experience that we had with this Dr. we felt that she is racist because we are Mexicans. No, my parents are not collecting government benefits, they have been living in this… country for over 60 and have all the means to have a very good living with their hard earned money. So, don’t just judge patients because of where are come from.
