Dr. Carrie Elizabeth Casden, DO

Dr. casden seemed to take pleasure in criticizing me and my former endocrinologist. She shook her finger in my face when I mentioned I was going off statins. That's when it all began. Will not go back to hear more criticism. Terrible bedside manner and will not bend when it comes to care for my body. I refuse to be strong, armed by any physician.

Dr Casden has been very helpful with my diabetes care. Her guidance with how I should administer my meds based on my test results along with my questions has reduced my level of concern brought on by uncertainty. She always makes sure that we spend adequate time when discussing my questions and always advises that I can contact her at any time outside of my appointments for further assistance if needed. I always experience a most comfortable sense of personal concern for my health with Dr Casden, just like I do with all of my COPC docs

My visits are always great!! The staff are very considerate of me and any questions I may have.

Dr Casden is excellent in all aspects of my patient care and I would without reservation recommend her to my friends who might be in need of her specialty .

Dr. Casden was so friendly and genuine. It was my first time seeing her and she made me feel as if I was her only patient! She listened carefully to my concerns. Wait time was fairly normal. Very personable but yet professional. I will definitely be recommending her!

Dr. Casden is very professional and cares about my health. She doesn’t rush through my appointment and has a great bedside manner.

Unfortunately, I was not at all impressed by my experience with Dr. Casden. The office staff was nice, but I felt that Dr. Casden already made her mind up about me before we ever met. She informed me that she had read my chart when she entered the room, but wanted to “hear my story,” then sat across from me the entire appointment, never checked my thyroid, never listened to my heart rate or anything, then said she would run a few blood tests, and that our relationship would likely end there. When I asked for a full thyroid panel, she didn’t know what all I was referring to and asked specifically what I wanted to have checked. Despite the fact that I had not fasted that day, she had my bloodwork done, and scheduled a follow up appointment. During my follow up appointment, she noted that despite my positive TPO antibodies, my numbers leaned more toward hyperthyroid than hypo-, but said they were still within range and she would not treat that. When I asked what I could do to prevent… this from escalating into worse conditions (because I have symptoms that need addressed somehow), she told me to connect with my PCP. This experience is actually causing me to leave COPCP after being under their care my entire life. What good is a doctor who tells you, “sometimes you just have to live with these things”?

My experiences with Dr Casden have been very helpful for my condition and very positive. She provides excellent medical attention that is patient focused.
