Dr. Carrie L Francis, MD

I thought Dr. Francis was very down-to-earth and kind with my son. She did tube replacement and adenoid removal for him and he did great after. We've seen her for follow ups and I just really appreciated her approach. She gave us insight to better his results and it worked.

Poor bedside manner. First visit was told our 2 year old needed tubes in his ears for sure and possible tonsils to be taken out- scheduled us for a follow up to see if we could remedy the tonsils medicinally. OK - follow visit, dr said it’s 50/50 on the tubes and tonsils and wether it work or not. So stance changed from for needs it to wasn’t sure. I asked what she would do if it were her kid, and what we should answer was last straw- I don’t give that opinion - but he has met the minimal thresholds and insurance will cover this. What a waisted visit, she told us nothing new and retracted her original opinion and then followed it up with I don’t have an opinion. Going to get a second opinion. Insurance should not be the reason she does or does not do procedures and as a Md. you are trained schooled and qualified to give an opinion. She was less than helpful.

Issue diagnosed within her specialty, needs treatment, but doesn't know next steps. Solution- go back to pediatrician and let them figure it out. Not a good answer. Followed up with another ENT who remedied the situation.
