Dr. Cary Lacefield, DO

Drs are fine but the staff not so.

I went with my mother and father in law. My mother in law has been diagnosed with tuminal cancer. We went to get hospice orders. She was not at all compassionate, caring,or personable with the elderly couple nor myself. I took in FMLA paper work to care for a family member which she is refusing to fill out. Her employees called me to notify me that MY doctor need to fill them out REALLY!!!!! Then hung up on me !!!!!

Dr Lacefield has been my primary care physician for nearly 20 years. Dr Lacefield has always been very thorough in treatment. Dr Lacefield has always been very patient and attentive when listening to my health concerns. And, perhaps most important to me, Dr Lacefield understands the limitations of a primary care physician and has never tried to treat anything that requires a specialist... she refers me on to a specialist (orthopedic, cardiologist, dermatologist,...). I highly recommend Dr. Lacefield.

I tried for over a week to get prescription refills. Was told they would be done, but they were not. Never got a call from the office to tell me why they had not in fact been called in. When I finally went in to the office to try to sort out the problem, I was told Medicare required that I be seen before refills. This is a LIE. Medicare regulations state that "Medicare may cover two visits per year" not that Medicare requires two visits. Dr. Lacefield threatened to call the police because I would not accept her explanation. Very rude. Care about their bottom line not what is best for patient. One star only because that is as low as rating goes.

Terrible experience. Took 2 hrs. After appt. Time. Rude. Incompetant. Lost test results. Phone calls not returned. Can't get reg meds refilled without appt. Every time. Dirty office. Nasty staff. Can't get diagnosed correctly. Got there for appt. 20 min early made me wait 1:50 min. When I said something about it refused to see me after 2:10 wait. Find another Dr. Bunch of quacks. Very unprofessional.

The receptionist has a God syndrome refuses to give dr. message to call back. The main nurse there refused to fax a referral to insurance because she was going on vacation. It was an emergency had to pay out of pocket because of this. Asked to speak with the dr. several times can not get past the nurse, management, or receptionist to inform the dr. of the behavior of her staff. And they refuse to give an appointment with the dr. it has to be with the p.a. Their diagnosis was completely different than what the E.R. found. Big difference between a virus and a life threating illness

I like the fact that they are thorough. And they listen to you.
