Dr. Cary C Perry, MD

Very disappointed after being with this practice for many years to be told that when I turned 65 they were no longer taking medicare patients. When I asked what were we suppose to do, I was told to go to my primary care physician and that they could not have a practice of 65 year old patients as they" croak on you!"

I have been going to Dr. Perry for over 20 years. She has listened and been very compasionate with my problems. I have had no problems with her staff. In fact, when I call, they have always called back promptly with an answer. Could not have asked for better service. I hate it, but am having to leave and find another Dr. because of insurance. It will be hard to find someone to meet her standards.

I didn't personally see Dr. Perry, but had heard good things about her, so went to the office based on that. Little did I know that her staff was beyond rude, bordering on neglectful. After a treatment issue/decision came up and I attempted to resolve it via phone, it took me calling over and over and having to practically hound the staff to get any sort of answers. They never returned my calls, or even attempted to help me. I am not a rude person, nor was I miffed by the over forty-five minute wait both times I went, and I cannot imagine what I might have done to have seemingly so offended Dr. Perry's staff that they would treat me so rudely; after reading other reviews of her staff, it makes more sense to me - what does not make sense to me is that if Dr. Perry is a good doctor as I was told, why she would have such rude and incompetent staff.

The staff at AWC is TERRIBLE! Some of them seem highly incompetent and they are definitely very, very condescending. I am 26 yrs old and married. Recently I went in for a late period and they told me the same things over and over again....like I didn't hear them the first time. I saw a nurse practitioner that day and she told me about 5 times that I had a negative urine pregnancy test. If I had been actively trying and she repeatedly told me that, I probably would've bawled my eyes out and snapped! They are extremely insensitive and lazy. Instead of checking my hcg levels and getting a more definite negative, her solution was to do a HPT every 2 weeks - which is both expensive & ridiculous. And she said it doesn't matter if my period resumes at all or if my period is regular or not until I try to have children. They definitely so not care anout their patients at all. I will most certainly bw looking for a new ob/gyn.

This is not so much about Dr. Perry herself, as I did not see her, but about her office. There is very poor patient treatment at this office. I scheduled an appointment and while the initial visit itself was fine, I was treated condescendingly and even rudely during follow up communications. It took multiple tries to get answers via phone; they promised to return my call but never did. I was told one thing, then another; after five weeks, I left the clinic for a different one. Much to my surprise, 8 MONTHS later, I discover they had not informed me of an outside bill from a lab test they had requested. I had no knowledge the bill even existed, and was hit with an unexpected expense and the stress of having a bill almost sent to collections. I spoke over the phone with the lab, and they encouraged me to call the office to see why I was never informed of the charge. The staff member was highly condescending, implying I should have known about the outside charge. They refused to take… responsibility, even when I pointed out that as a new patient there, I should have been informed about office policies. In all my previous experiences with physiciansâ?? offices where I have had lab work done, they have always informed me I would receive a separate bill. I told the staff member there that I believed a doctorâ??s responsibility was to keep their patient informed; I received a rude response back and was curtly bid goodbye.

Not a very thorough physical. Very limited blood work done.

Dr. Perry is smart as a whip, has a genuine concern for her patients, and has good old common sense. She is excellent in every respect. She truly cares about the well being of her patients.

Dr. Perry has been my gyn for years. I went to another group for my ob care and was very disappointed. I believe their lack of care caused me to develop an infection after a miscarriage. Dr. Perry took over my care and did a thorough exam. I am pretty sure that she spent her lunch time (although she did not say so) staying with me during the ultrasound and then talking to me about the direction she wanted to take my care. She put me in the hospital for iv antibiotics. She understood that we did want to have another child and wanted to do everything she could to make sure that would happen. I can not express my gratefulness and respect for this doctor. Thank you so much Dr. Perry!

dr. perry, is very nice and professional. her staff is extremely rude. especially her front desk help and her office manager. so, due to the staff, I would not recommend them to anyone.
