I have a rare autoimmune disease confirmed by lab results showing antibodies related to my disease and she still told me my illness is because of mental issues and trauma and acts like I have an eating disorder. She does not care and does not want to help. Left my last appointment in a full blown panic attack while she just sat there in silence staring at me.

Dr. Berkowitz was my Gastroenterologist for a period of almost 9 years. She always listened closely, explained things well, and seemed genuinely invested in me as a patient. My Ulcerative Colitis was very difficult to treat due to my allergy to aspirin and it’s derivatives.

I've been seeing her for about a year and a half and she has not really done anything. She automatically assumed that I have an eating disorder and makes it seem like it is your fault for being sick.

I find Dr. Caryn Berkowitz to have a pleasant disposition. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing to see a gastroenterologist.

She has got to be one of the best physicians I have ever seen. She is caring, takes the time to listen, and is very knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone with a GI problem!

I have not seen this doctor for about a year and a half, but will not see her again. She was not a caring doctor and made me feel as though it was my fault that I was sick. Will not reccomend her to anyone.
