Dr. Caryn Mcnaney West, OD

I had read the only other review on this site and was nervous to see Dr. West, but she took my insurance and didn't feel like I had a choice. I can tell you that simply asking what what your diagnosis means goes a long way. I asked about my astigmatism and the doctor and staff gave me a thorough explanation of how is part of your prescription just like nearsightedness and farsightedness. I did not have enough astigmatism to warrant it being part of my contacts, but i liked that they explained it anyways. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend her to anyone. Also, simply asking the questions you want while in the office goes a long way. I did not have any wait time for my visits and they were thorough.

CARYN WEST DIAGNOSED ME WITH A “ASTIGMATISM”. SHE SAID I NEEDED THE CONTACTS FOR THEM WHICH I KNEW I DID NOT. OF COURSE YOU COULDNT ARGUE WITH THE PEOPLE IN THIS OFFICE. I TOOK THE CONTACTS HOME WITH STIGMATISM PRESCRIPTION AND MY EYES WERE RED , PAINFUL AND I HAD TO THROW THE BOX AWAY AND GO OUT OF MY YEARLY CHECK UP WITH INSURANCE JUST TO GET THE RIGHT CONTACTS FOR MY EYES. THE ASTIGMATISM CONTACTS SHE GAVE ME WERE BLURRY THE MOMENT I PUT THEM IN MY EYES. SHE SAID THE BLURRINESS WOULD STOP AFTER I GET HOME. IT DID NOT STOP. SHE MAY NEED HER LICENSE TESTED AGAIN. YES I AM STILL MAD BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT REFUND ME MY 80 DOLLARS FOR MY CONTACTS. NOR THE 140 FOR THE EXAM. SHE COMPLETELY CAUSED ME PAIN. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO THIS FACILITY. THEY WERE VERY RUDE.
