Dr. Casey E Turner, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Turner as my doctor for several years. My healthcare has never been more managed. Dr. Turner spends time with each patient listening to gain understanding about patient concerns. I don't mind if I am in the waiting room or exam room a few minutes more because I know that each patient is receiving the same level of care and concern. I feel very confident with Dr. Turner as my healthcare provider.

My family has seen Dr. Turner for a few years. We are relatively a healthy family so we don't see him too often. What we do have to make an appt we usually are in the waiting room for a good hour before our name is called. Also seems as though whatever your issue or symptom may be he will want a sleep study. What? Yes a sleep study. Seems to not listen as well as he should but try's to divert to suggested sleep problems. I say this because out 3 out of 4 of us have been referred for sleep studies when we feel we have no issues with sleep at all. He has misdiagnosed rashes, called in medicines with known allergies and just doesn't seem to have the patients well being as priorty one. I don't know what would be considered an average one on one length of an office visit with the doctor but I do know 10 minutes to be seems to be pretty normal yet every single time he charges my insurance for an "extra long" office visit. ie....a lot more money. There are a lot of good doctors… to choose from and this is not one of them.

I was so pleased to meet a real human being who just happened to be a doctor. Dr Turner took so much time to listen to me. He has a PA who enters data while you talk with him. She was so professional that she was concerned with the fact that if Dr. Turner and I discussed male bonding personal things that she would leave the room if I requested. Dr. Turner's influence on his staff is so obvious. You can have professional courtesy and you can have truly caring staff and Dr Turner has his staff showing so much true caring that I left his office motivated to meet his request to try and cut my prescription medication to one drug by half. He took so much time listening to me that he seemed to know what I needed anyway. I look forward to seeing Dr Turner again.

I am a new patient to Dr. Turner and this was my first visit. I was very honest with him and seeked the same feedback and suggestions. My weakness and biggest obstacle is my weight and all he wanted to focus on was just my weight and that he wanted me to be a "poster child" for weightloss. I agree that I need help and need to lose weight for my well being. However, he took it to a level that made me feel bad about myself and that I need to think of the impact I am having on my family. I understood after 20 minutes he kept going on and on and on and on until finally I told him " I get it, can we move on?" Sometimes you can get more results and motivation from people if you encourage them instead of bring them down. On a different note, he had a LPN in the room taking notes for him but yet he kept staring at the computer instead of at me thus giving me a not-so-comfortable feeling. You are a doctor and should have confidence enough with your patients not to stare at a wall or a… computer that someone else is using!Not sure if I will go back.

Transfered insurance companies and had to find a new Doctor after being with the same group of Doctors for 20 years. We were worried. Dr. Turner and his staff were the best. They took the time to answer all of our questions. Dr. Turner ordered several test to make sure both of us were in good health. All test were performed at the center. No driving all over town. All results were back in a timley manner. Both of us wish we had found Dr. Turner several years ago. I'm already sending referals to him.

Very good doctor---never in a rush---spends time with you as though he has no other patients
