In my experience, Optum Indiana’s scheduling process was shockingly unprofessional. I completed all intake forms, had multiple doctors send records, and prepared for weeks—only to be told two hours before my appointment that I would not be seen. The scheduler, spoke to me in a condescending way during our initial call, and the office manager later cancelled the visit citing vague “notes.” I was medically fragile and urgently needed care, and this last-minute cancellation delayed treatment by months. I hope leadership reviews these practices—patients deserve respect, clear communication, and timely access to care.

Initially Dr. Curtis seemed adequate as a Neurologist but of late she does not respond to requests for further information of seem interested in providing additional care.

This woman is a horrible Doctor, Who has no education in diverse culture backgrounds. She saw my husband a total of two times. He has a 20 year history of cluster headaches. During their first appointment he informed her of medications he had previously been put on for this issue. She gave him the exact same medications and a seizure medication. She did not ask history. She did not ask him if he was a smoker. She did not offer any other type of education. She had asked his PCP to start him on steroids. A common treatment for this condition (also after my husband suggested it and told them his regular starting dose) When he walked out of her office, she did not give new instructions on how to taper off the steroids. He had to call back in to find out how she would recommend his taper for this episode. Her medical assistant/nurse was very rude every time he called. My husband is in the union, he has a personal savings account for these type of health issues, so he will still get… paid. She refused to sign the union paperwork so that he could get that payment. Thankfully, through the union we were able to get that pay, after fighting with her for over a week and eventually telling her we no longer wanted her as a doctor. When we went in for the second (and last) appointment she informed my husband that he was too well-dressed, to articulate, and he was on time for his appointment; so there’s no reason he should be off work. Mind you he was on oxygen (it was in the car) for when his cluster headaches flared up, to help suppress it. My husband is an electrician, for new build worksites. Hardhats only. You cannot be on oxygen and that type of work environment. You cannot no be on a lift with his regime of medications. We tried to explain this to her. She said “my other patients do it.” I am a MEDSURG RN, you did not compare a patient with other patients. This woman then put her hands in my husband’s face and told him if you really wanted to stop you would stop smoking you smell of cigarettes right now. But she never offered in his first visit any education about smoking secession nor did she ask him if he was a smoker. She is a horrible doctor. She will not even talk to you on the phone. Her assistant/nurse also left my husband’s information up on the computer before they knew who I was. When we left the room they also left the information up on the computer. So, not only could anybody see his information, but anybody could get into their system which is an obvious HIPAA violation. She has a serious anger management problem and could use some education in culture diversity. Avoid this doctor at all costs. I have a voice recording of the second and final appointment. This woman is not professional.

Trying to prescribe a med to me which I dont need because pharma paid her... I'm a pharmacist and showed her the evidence, she dismissed it. Until I read online how much she got from that company. The fda also warned her. Google it!

Dr. Curtis is the best neurologist I have ever had in my life, and I have had a lot of them. She is caring and concerned. She is very open to trying new ideas and making certain to do anything she can to help you move forward. I absolutely love her and only left because her group no longer takes my insurance. I would love to be able to have her as my neurologist once more.

I've seen many neurologists and Dr. Curtis is the best. She is friendly and treats you like a friend...not an inconvenience like the others I've seen. She is the only neurologist I will ever go to. I'm actually excited for my appointments with her because it is more like seeing an old friend than an exam. She accurately diagnosed me while other neurologists were incompetent and rude. Her assistant is amazing as well. Save yourself time and anxiety by seeing her instead of any other. She treats her patients quickly and wants to help.

cussed out another doc on the phone while I was in the room, complained about not getting paid enough, and was just bitter and jaded. Never dressed my concerns. Stay away!

Amazing Neurologist! Friendly staff too.

Even tho it was my first visit ,but first impression is your last impression. She was very honest & helpful wherever she was able to.she was kind and very nice bedside manners. I recommend my friends.
