Cassandra Hayes

"I was born in Anderson, SC and have lived most of my life in the upstate. I joined the United States Air Force at 17 years old and started my career in the medical field. I served 4 years on active duty and 8 years of inactive reserve. I have been a nurse since 2010 and have worked in public health and hospice. I have worked with patients and families that have depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and personality disorders. I attended Simmons University in Boston, MA and obtained my Master's Degree in Nursing with an emphasis in Family Nurse Practitioner. I am a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, South Carolina Nurses Association, American Psychiatric Nurses Association and American Nurses Association. I have been published in Medcrave Hospice & Palliative Medicine International Journal. As a Family Nurse Practitioner working in psychiatric/mental health nursing, I look forward to working with patients of all ages that have different needs. I have a working …knowledge of pharmacological agents and therapies to design evidence-based plans of care for each patient. I use my knowledge of diet, exercise and sleep to educate patients along with the pharmacologic and therapeutic aspects to treat patients. I enjoy paddle boarding and doing yard work. I am very active in my faith and enjoy spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy traveling and have been to Germany and Saudi Arabia. "
