Protect yourself from Modern Endocrine by Dr Cassie Smith. Modern Endocrine owned by Dr Smith has the most incompetent and rude staff there is. This is NOT a patient centered practice. In addition, if you are the kind to ask questions or advocate for yourself, you will be kicked out the door. Dr Smith formerly worked for Optimal Health Associates before branching on her own and unfortunately she is extremely *money hungry*. Dr . Cassie Smith wants only cash pay patients even though many metro doctors refer patients to her as she is in network with most insurances. Their practice will not submit prior authorizations for patients even with the knowledge that insurance will cover things.

She is curt, pompous, opinionated, and has no sense of humor.

When you can’t count on a Dr who answers a transferred line from the receptionist to acknowledge you and assist you in getting the information your insurance needs to process your prescription , who then ignores your request to cancel all future appts because your not happy with her service until you complain to the executive office, then makes negative calls & emails around to your other physicians spreading lies, I would say it’s time to probably take legal action.
