Dr. Cat Dang, DO

1. Both my children found her rude and felt worse after appointments instead of better. 2. She will not listen. She will talk over you. 3. She will talk at you, not with you. She has a set of canned lectures she dispenses. 4. She'll ask a question, but interrupt you after 4 words to start another canned lecture. 5. She has a thin veneer of niceness, but she is not nice, nor kind. 6. She will say thinly veiled insults to you and your child. 7. When I calmly told her the interruptions felt dehumanizing, instead of leading to a discussion and deepening of the therapeutic relationship, her ego was bruised, and she punished my child by refusing to start the new meds she had planned and discussed with us twice. She will then tried to gaslight me and tell me that she never planned to start a new med. 8. She told my anorexic child that sleep helps weight loss. Thanks for that.

Dr. Dang is such an amazing doctor. I was absolutely amazed by her professional manner, intelligence, promptness, thoroughness, and kindness. She Takes her time and she is very thorough. This level of dedication, personal availability and compassion from a physician is rare now a days in the field of psychiatry, especially when it comes to my son. A definite and unabashed recommendation for all those mothers out there that need top notch expertise and help for their kid with ADHD. I had trouble with past doctors over medicating my little boy or placing him on medications that weren't helping him. Dr. Dang is a breath of fresh air and her knowledge of Child Psychiatry and her level of compassion are just exemplary. I come from a family with a medical background and give Dr Cat Dang the highest recommendation.

Dr. Dang is amazing. My son moved from Florida to California to attend Law School. After much research we decided that she may be a good fit. He has now been seeing her for approx 6 months and he is adjusting to his new circumstances beautifully. I know it is in part, because of his therapy with Dr. Dang. She is conscientious in prescribing medication and in therapy. Also, her staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

I am 26 years old and throughout my life have had over a dozen Psychiatrists. Dr. Dang has been without a doubt the best doctor I have ever had. I have been seeing her on a weekly basis for over two years now. Her staff has always made me feel so comfortable, warm, and welcome. The environment in the office is one of a soothing and calming nature. Dr. Dang's vast knowledge and skills in the field of Psychiatry is as good as it gets and trust me, I've had doctors all throughout the United States. Her compassion, wisdom, and genuine care for me as a patiant is not only professional but on a level that has far surpassed anyone in this field that I have ever known. Dr. Dang was very nice and personable. If I wasn't an addict or if I felt she had more experiences in addiction medicine and what is okay to be prescribed I would still see her most definitely.
