Dr. Catalina Peters Preskill, MD

Dr Preskill was my 4 children's doctor for many years. When they were babies she was my doctor too. She sympathized with me, calmed me, taught me, and laughed with me. As my children grew up, she became their doctor. I remember being sad when one of my daughters chose to go in alone. Yet it was fantastic because this spirited adolescent trusted her. She always went above and beyond what any other doctor has ever done for me. On one occasion when I was breastfeeding my last baby, my primary care doctor prescribed a med that was contraindicated with breastfeeding. He told me to just quit breastfeeding. I went home, cried my heart out and then called Dr Preskill. She called the pharmacist, who called a pediatric pharmacist at UCSD. Advise was given, problem solved and I went on to breastfeed my daughter for over 2 years. The woman is a saint. I miss her and my first baby is nearly 35!

Dr. Preskill was my children's pediatrician. I can't say enough good things about her kindness, compassion, being practical as far as health solutions and being a teaching doctor. She even called me up when my Mom died. I am not sure how she found out....maybe because she worked at Kaiser. But that was above and beyond the call of duty and I never, ever forgot it. Nothing but positive to say about her!

Too bad she is retired. I could never have been blessed with a better doctor. I miss you!
