Dr. Catharine Buttinger Fedeli, MD

Dr Fedeli reminds me of a simultaneous translation. She listens carefully and the moment she speaks you realize she fully understood what you said and has already "translated" it into helping you find insights and better understanding of your self.She does it without judgement and prejudice. Her empathy is immense.

Super smart, really listens and "hears between the lines," creative and eclectic in her approach. Really empathic and NEVER unprofessional, not once in over 6 years. She has a wonderful sense of humor and yes, we can have heartfelt laughs amidst all that serious and painful stuff. I am grateful for Dr. Fedeli.

Dr. Catharine Buttinger Fedeli is an excellent, highly ethical psychiatrist I have been a patient of Dr. Buttinger Fedeli for 8+ years. She deserves the highest ratings. I am a mental health provider myself and know how quickly and unjustly, especially mental health patients, unleash anger in these reviews and cause damage to a pristine reputation and an excellent doctor. I have been on the receiving end myself. The problem was that there was no control on reviews. Not anymore! Professional organizations have stepped up and offer help and legal guidance. I am writing this, because I saw these disparaging reviews and I could not disagree more. Dr. Fedeli has helped me tremendously with her insights, guidance and when necessary calling me out. Not only has she helped me be a better mother, wife, daughter and sister, but also a better therapist. She has shown me high ethical standards and professionalism which never compromises her empathy and deep commitment to her work and her… patients. She goes beyond the call of duty because she is passionate about her work, even after 30+ years.

Funny, I actually never looked up Dr. Fedeli. Today I had another great, very helpful session and thought I should sing her praises. I was shocked to see these last two 1 star reviews. I have seen Dr. Fedeli for several years and she has never acted in any such way as these patients describe. I actually think the two reviews are by the same patient. He/she went at it on other sites as well. I certainly was curious to look and no surprise, I found more of the same and I am sure, all written by the same person. Her fees are right up there with any other excellent psychiatrist and she does not over-prescribe! If this is what she does, why come back for more? So, I got all side tracked finding these 1 star reviews. Here is my word on Dr. Fedeli: She is absolutely professional while showing and giving so much understanding, insight and empathy. She has not only positively changed my life, she has saved my life.

I have been a patient of Dr. Fedeli for 7 years. Today was my last session upon our mutual agreement and a 3 month termination period. Dr. Fedeli described therapy to me as "gaining tools to become my own best therapist." This goal has been achieved. I had previous experiences with psychiatrists and none of them were ever as insightful, empathic, yet at times stern and confrontational when needed. She has given me "tools" to live a rich and fulfilled life. I have learned patience, assertiveness, have developed a healthy self-esteem and confidence. I have turned my personal life, which was on collision course, around and know now how to love and be loved. I have achieved confidence and competence in my job. With Dr. Fedeli's help, brilliant foresights and encouragement I have been able to achieve professional success, recognition, leadership skills and significant financial stability. She has indeed given me the best tools ever. There are two people in my life I will always be… grateful for: The friend who recommended Dr. Fedeli and most importantly Dr. Fedeli.

I usually do not write reviews, don't read them either, but I felt I had to let other people know about this doctor. This doctor knows what she is doing and she is careful, yet right on in delivering her assessment. I really trust this psychiatrist (with my sanity).
