Dr. Catherine Irene Bevan, MD

Terrible office visit today. After sitting in my car for 40 minutes waiting for a phone call to say a room was ready for me I called and couldn't understand the muffled voices ( I later realized it was because they were wearing masks while answering the phone) and was hung up on after I asked the lady to repeat part of what she said because I didn't understand her. I had to call back numerous times before someone actually answered the phone again (there was no voicemail so I could not leave a message). That person was easier to understand and more helpful. I finally got a call that a room was ready for me. When I arrived I was asked to sit in the waiting room. I was confused and let the lady know I had received a call that a room was ready for me. She checked and agreed that it was ready. Apparently the MA or whoever she is took offense to something I said and told the Dr I was rude and Catherine Bevan asked me to leave because her MA works hard and I upset her. I am not sure how… answering her questions upset her or asking why they don't have my review of symptoms in their computer after I was asked to fill them out twice before coming to the visit. I am a patient seeing treatment and this Dr cares nothing for her patients or even asked me if I was okay after all the harassment and trouble I had been through up to that point. If you want a kind, caring, compassionate Dr she is not the one to see. Apparently she is overworked and the last thing she needs is a new patient.

Dr. Bevan accepted me as a patient in my 36th week of pregnancy (Due to a change in insurance). Problems I had experienced that I reported to my last OBGYN were ignored and I was told repeatedly, "it was normal", and due to my age (42). During my first visit with Dr. Bevan, she sent me straight to the hospital and a C-section was performed. I was dealing with Pre-Eclampsia/Eclampsia and did not know. Because of Dr. Bevan a potentially disastrous situation was avoided and my daughter and I were given the care we needed. I was devastated at first with the thought of having to change doctors so late in my pregnancy, but things happen for a reason and I am truly thankful to have had her by my side during the delivery of my daughter. She was and is a wonderful doctor and has a heart for what she does, and so is her staff. Thank you Dr. Bevan.
