Dr. Catherine Marie Burton, MD

I had surgery last week, and am so glad that Dr Burton was my anesthesiologist. She met with me before the procedure, when I had the chance to explain my concerns about being difficult to intubate, and how intubation had been very painful post surgery in the past. We discussed the possibility of using smaller, specialized equipment to make my experience more tolerable. Post surgery, I am happy and relieved to report that my recovery is going well, and that I've had very little pain and sputum due to being intubated. Thank you for listening to your patient.

I recently had intense back surgery involving the nerves in the middle of my vertebrae. I am sure I needed deep sedation. Catherine was amazing, listened to my concerns, and made my experience like it was a walk in the park. I went to sleep without any incident. No tasting the medicine in my mouth while going out, I was so happy for that. I woke up with no after effects, none whatsoever. I felt great immediately and wanted to get up and go home. Previous surgery's I had been very dizzy, or nauseous or vomiting or shaking profusely and cold... the fear of the after effects had kept me from getting this much needed surgery. In the future, I will most assuredly request Catherine as my Anesthesiologist and fear be gone... She knows how to ease you in and ease you out. My Neurosurgeon, Dr Demers (Sierra Neurosurgery) said to me that he requests her on all his brain surgeries. I was blessed to have her on my case.
