Dr. Catherine Mary Cleland

Dr. Cleland was my Anesthesiologist for a recent hernia repair procedure. I found her to be pompous, very cold, and not at all interested in my concerns. I tried to explain to her an intubation procedure that they had used in a surgery last April that worked better for my throat problems that occurred from intubation in previous surgeries. She sharply told be that what I was saying didn’t even make sense. Later she read my patient notes from my last surgery at Brigham and Womens and found what I said to be true. Then she proceeded to tell that she couldn’t intubate that way for this surgery and told me all about the complications that could occur. I went into that surgery room with a high level of anxiety because my interactions with this doctor. Dr. Cleland needs to work on her attitude and smile a little. Luckily my outcome after surgery was fine.
