The first visit was fine. She was getting all my info and friendly. The second and third, no so much. The third was actually a follow up for an ER visit. My bp had gone up to 175/120. Several financial things and life changes had resulted in severe stress. I asked her to prescribe a medication that I had taken for years for panic attacks I was having. She refused and her reason was per her words, "I'm not a fan." I asked her via email to reconsider and to contact my previous doctor and also she could see from my medical records how it was seldom prescribed. She refused. Her reply, "I can't help you." I asked her to recommend an OTC or something else that could help. She did not reply. Her Hippocratic oath means nothing to her. I understand have apprehension based on research and what one has seen in other patients. However, this is an FDA approved drug that has worked for me for many years. She knew I had a history of attempts of ending my life and depression. A doctor with good morals… and who cared about their patients getting well or their lives in general would have offered an alternative. Or at the very least gave me a number for a counselor or support group. She literally did not reply. Moreover, not being a fan of a medication is not enough reason to deny it. She didn't explain why. I might have even agreed with her had she done so. I have since gotten a new primary care physician who understood my history and prescribed the medication as needed. When my panic attacks had become less often he recommended a holistic approach so that I would not need to take the pharmaceutical medication. I have spoken to several other people in the medical field and they suggested I send over the copies of the correspondence between Dr. Galpin and me to the board because she has no business dealing with people in need of medical attention.

Catherine Galpin is horrible. She likes to belittle her patients and is a flat out terrible provider. She was my primary provider at sea mar before she left, and the fact that other providers at sea mar has given me more care than she ever has. The few times I did have to deal with her she was absolutely distasteful. Not sure where she is working now but new patients be aware!

Terrible Healthcare from Catherine Galpin. She does NOT follow up with test results, this resulted in a 3 day stay in the hospital via the emergency room. If she had called my sister or me after my sister's lung scan(I am the POA) and told her the results it could have been treated. My sister had a yeast infection and called her, she told her to call a gynecologist. As though a 63 YO female wouldn't recognize a yeast infection?She seems to be very discriminatory towards white people (her attitudechanged 180° whenImentionedwe were NativeAmerican). She is very rude and disrespectful to patients and their family. If you care about your friends and family do not bring them to her. 0 stars would NOT recommend her or Seamar for any reason whatsoever.
