Dr. Catherine Daprix Heffner, MD

I have seen Dr. H for about 7 years and I disagree either the medication comments. It wasn’t until after a great deal of time did I start medication, and even with that she started on a lower dose that is typically prescribed. She always checks in, and is on top of it. She will not give you the answers, but instead helps you to discover them yourself. Unbiased as well as very supportive this Doctor has helped me to change my life. Yes, you need to put in the work, but she is the best guide to get you there.

almost a year of therapy with this dr and no improvement. Mental state seems to be deteriorating and the dr does not seem to take it or the mental issues seriously.

I have been seeing Dr. Heffner for several years now. She provides psychotherapy and psychiatric services to me. She is expensive, without a doubt, but absolutely worth it. If you want the best, you have to pay. Dr. H always is extremely thoughtful when it comes to what medications will work best for me and has been patient in trying different ones to see what suits me best. She is not reckless and does NOT hand out meds like candy. She is very non-judgmental, which is crucial for me. Dr. Heffner always follows up on issues brought up in a previous session, is kind, thoughtful, engaged, and extremely helpful. Dr. H is the only person I feel like I can talk to fully and she has saved my life because of that. I will say it can be complicated to make an appointment and her cancellation policies are quite strict. Also, I rarely get taken on time. I guess that's just the business side of things. Luckily, I'm not too fussed with that as long as the session helps--and it always does.

I've been seeing Dr. Heffner for about a year and she's changed my life for the better. She slowly incorporated medications and followed up with me between appointments. I'm in a much better place than before I saw her. The only thing that doesn't give me a 5 star rating for her is the actual business side of her practice. Changing appointments can sometimes involve some "phone tag" where it can take a long time to establish a new appointment and she only accepts cash or check, so I have to remember to have either of those with me when I go to my appointments.

I have seen a few other psychiatrists and Dr. Heffner is by far the best. She is warm, understanding, and caring.

Excellent environment and understanding - Not heavy into medication but brings all aspects of therapy together.

I have been seeing Dr, Heffner for several years. She is caring and thorough. I cannot agree with the person who said she hands out medication like candy. We always have thoughtful discussions about medications and how to reduce or minimize them. If she has any concerns about my current condition, she will extend our session. On occasion, my appointment might start late, but that can happen with this type of practice. Only a jerk would complain that the session before theirs had to be extended unexpectedly so Dr. Heffner could make sure that person was in a "safe" place before letting them leave her office. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Heffner to others.

I saw doctor Heffner for several years .She handed out quite addictive medication in large does like is was candy . Was never concerned about helping me with issues , Very concerned about her new reputable career as a psychiatrist . I found her unknowledgeable about the latest medication their side effects or what effective nature ailment they treat . I also found her to be anything but orthodox or professional as she blatantly maliciously lied and fabricated my medical records to cover up any irrefutable deliberate errors , her superiors are just as corrupt as her . Avoid at all cost , its your time don't waste it with her in vain , you'll never receive the appropriate care or accurate diagnosis

Dr. Heffner is a wonderful doctor. She is very professional and great at what she does. She is extremely caring and knowledgeable. I would recommend her to anyone who is suffering from a mental illness. She is very genuine, and she knows what she's doing.

Dr. Catherine D. Heffner is a very thorough, professional psychiatrist. I trust in her 100% when it comes to the medications she prescribes because she is extremely knowledgable about every medicine I take (and in the off chance that she is not, she looks up the medication information in front of me to ensure no contraindications). Dr. Heffner is a caring, professional psychiatrist whom I highly recommend. She has been an integral part of helping to "keep me afloat", so to speak, while I navigate the waters of trying to live my life with a severely painful spinal condition.
