Dr. Catherine A Orentreich, MD

For 7 years I’ve received treatment from a staff nurse (the latest of whom is wonderful) at Dr. Catherine Orentreich’s office. I see Dr. Orentreich on the obligatory annual visits so she can bill me for the appointment, that’s fine. The first time I entered the office and consulted with her, she suggested a medication for my issue, then promptly pulled a few papers from a bunch of Lucite holders on the wall and said, “take these home to read.” NO explanation of the medication, NO talk of side-effects or anything else, I was to go home and educate myself about what she suggested. BIG turn-off. Since then, I’ve seen her 6 more times, once per year. On each occasion, prior to her entering the room, I could hear the nurse outside the room’s door telling her, “she’s taking this, she’s not taking that,” or whatever update there was since my last visit that the nurse asked me about. Therefore, Dr. Orentreich looks at NOTHING in my records, and just reiterates to me what the nurse just told… her. And that visit is billed at $250. Her time in the room with me was literally less than one minute on each occasion. I’m now seeking another dermatologist and suggest you do the same.

Having said all that: She is the best botox, etc MD I have ever been to. isn't that what matters?

Dr. Catherine has wonderful bedside manner and is clearly at the top of her field.

After speaking with a knowledgeable and personable nurse for about 15 minutes...Dr. Catherine Orentreich popped in for a brief 60-90 seconds at the most...I will never make an appt. to meet with her again..

Excellent in every way, highly recommended.
