Dr. Catherine Renee Schauer, MD

I've seen Dr. Schauer since moving to town 6 years ago. Prior to that I'd used the same ob/gyn (a male) in another state for 16 years. I was immediately taken with her warm professional caring bedside manner. When I had bladder issues she immediately knew my problem and was able to address it without drugs. In all my years I have never been more satisfied with a caregiver. She is a credit to her profession and women in general.

I had gone to dr. schauer for years and she helped me through my fertility issues. and throughout my pregnancy. She was the one that did my csection and did an amazing job and came to check on me quite often. she is such a caring doctor. I was sad that she is no longer at borgess womens health when i went to make my yearly appointment.

Dr. Schauer was on call the night I was admitted to the hospital by another physician in the same practice. She spent less than five full minutes with me that night, ordered only two of the four units of blood I was supposed to receive in preparation for surgery, and then forgot about me altogether. I was left to wander the halls the next morning in search of information about my own care. The nurses could find no written instructions from her at all concerning my care, not even about feeding me. I finally took the IV out myself and left because I was being denied food.
