Dr. Catherine Malone Smitas, MD

I have been a Patient of Dr. Smitas for several years. She is very attentive and takes the time to listen to your concerns.

After driving several hours to make my appointment I was 9 min late after being stuck in terrible traffic. Her assistant was rude and said they have a policy that they don’t take people if they are more than 7 min late. I’ll be finding another doctor who’s a little more understanding and doesn’t think their schedule is the only important one.

I always feel heard when I go to Dr. Smitas. I feel that the physical not only checks the standards you assume with a doctor but also how I'm doing mentally and emotionally. She has connected the dots on some issues I was having and has an excellent rapport with her patients.

I'm grateful to have an intelligent, diligent, pro-active, no-nonsense, and gracious general practitioner treating me as I continue through the 'golden years'! (The staff is always cooperative and helpful too)

i would never go back to her again. she is rude, condescending and does not know what she is doing. she mis diagnosed me. told me i had something life threatening and it ended up being nothing significant. caused me to go to the er, be admitted for something that could have been treated at home. now i am stuck with medical bills because of her stupidity.

Very brief wait, very attentive doctor. Staff rushed a prescription to a drugstore while I was traveling over Christmas. Very easy to get an appointment. Emphasis on preventive care. So grateful to be cared for by Dr. Smitas.
