Look for someone else.

A very disappointing experience with a doctor who invents illnesses and prescribes medication with multiple side effects. A real cynic.

She is very caring the first visit. But from the second appointment on, she does not explain all the options that a patient may have. She seems to be in a rush all the time.

Dr. Steyn is very thorough and patient. She listens and makes suggestions for your care from her heart. Definitely not the type of dr to throw meds at you and call it a day. She will take the time to answer all of your questions when you're with her and also ask you some to make sure she is treating you properly.

We think Dr. Steyn is a terrific doctor. She takes time and no question is silly. We would prefer more info on meds, side effects and options. She tends to write a prescription without much explanation but will go into detail if we remember to ask (now we do) and accepts our decisions without "put down". We think she's great.
