Dr. Catherine M Vankerckhove, MD

Poor bedside manner, no patience, does not listen, does not take the time to explain, does not attempt to solve any patient medical issues, does not appreciate patients asking questions about the health of their children (at least no more than 1 question, any more and she becomes increasingly agitated), is not very thorough, has an unfriendly and uninviting demeanor. We never felt welcomed at this practice. The office staff is fine but the doctors are beyond condescending, especially Catherine. Although each visit would take at least 3 1/2 hours, we only saw the doctor for 10-15 minutes at most. The last visit she walked out while I was midway between asking a question about the health of my small child, and barked that there were other patients waiting (this was 5 mins into her sit down with me and 3 hours after I had been waiting to see her...I got the message that my time and our family was inconsequential.We have since found a great doctor who is really working to help our kids and… who is everything she is not.

I have been seeing Dr. Van Kerckhove for 13 years for both allergies and asthma. Both are extremely well controlled. Dr. V is always very thorough, she will take the time to ask all the questions and make sure that she understands your answers. You will come away with a much better understanding of your medical issues and how to minimize their impact on your life.

I came to the doctor with allergies, breaking out in hives and having respiratory symptoms. I asked to be tested for some specific things and was told that we don't test for those. Then, I was told I was not allergic to anything. But should find a doctor that can help because I shouldn't be breaking out in hives for no reason. But gave me no idea as to what kind of doctor to look for, what else would cause hives. Had to use an epi-pen as a result of anaphylaxis. But I'm not allergic to anything. Dr. Van Kerckhove doesn't think outside her very well defined box. I was left to fend for myself. She was of no help to me. I waited 6 weeks to get an appointment and charged a ridiculous amount of money for nothing.

Listened to my history of colds that were increasingly turning into bronchitis. Prescribed Advair and I have been v pleased w/the result.
