I went to see Dr. Wurm for a root canal on a molar two weeks ago. I did what you aren't supposed to do and read all the horror stories about how terrible root canals are and how painful and miserable the recovery was so I was very nervous. Making the appointment was easy, they had various options for me on dates and times and answered all of my questions on what to expect and the costs. The procedure itself was as great as an experience can be when getting a root canal. Dr. Wurm took her time making sure I was comfortable and profoundly numb, I felt absolutely nothing. She explained what she was doing and the whole procedure took only about 45 minutes. I was only in the office about an hour and 15 minutes including wait time and the time it took to pay for the procedure. Once the numbness wore off, my gums were tender but I wasn't in pain. I took ibuprofen just as a precaution but probably could have gone without. I hope to never need a root canal again but if I do, I know who I will… be going to!
