Dr. Cathryn Ruby Mcalpine, MD

Was going to write a review but it seems that MANY others have already stated the problems with this office. First of all the staff is extremely rude and give you the feeling that you are really inconveniencing them by being there. They speak down to you as if you had done something wrong by being there. The nurses or assistants are a complete joke, i waited in the examining room for over an hour while the staff congregated in the hallway laughing and joking around. I opened the door and asked the group had they forgotten about me, one of them replied " Cant you see we are busy?" Unfortunately none of the other dr. offices are taking new patients but as soon as i find one im switching immediately. If you choose to go there be sure to read the reviews, wish i had. My opinion is that this place needs to shut down. Patients deserve better than this. I wish i could leave zero stars but im forced to leave at least one. Hopefully someday this office will shut down but thats unlikely… due to the lack of dr offices in this area. Its sad that no one within upstate medical associates has not addressed the issues outlined in these reviews.

Dr. Mcalpine listens. She takes the time to explain her findings. I feel like I can ask her anything. Dr. Mcalpine has actually called me to insure that I got my x-ray results. Amazing! A doctor who actually calls personally. I feel very fortunate to have her as my physician.

First if all the wait time is RIDICULOUS. The "billing0" girl Tonya is rude and totally unprofessional. The PA man, Gonzales I think came in to write a prescription for me and talked about his wife knowing he had an affair !
