Dr. Cathy Lynne Cooper, MD

Worst experience ever with a Cleveland Clinic provider. Went to her for severe pain (8)in my lower right abdomen. instead of talking about my pain she wanted to talk and debate with me about things unrelated to my appointment. In the end, she said she couldn’t help me because she didn’t know what type of scan to order for the lower right abdomen. I told her if she doesn’t know how to investigate my pain, then I would have to go to the ER. She told me to go the ER because they can do an ultrasound, X-ray, or CT scan of the abdomen. I don’t understand why she would send me to the ER for something she could do. Without knowing the issue, she blindly offered me an anti-spasmatic medication, which I declined. This is the second time Dr.Cooper said she doesn’t know how to help me. I saw her for a different issue last year. Since this less-than optimal visit is a recurring issue, I wonder how many other patients left Dr. Cooper’s care with no sense of direction to address their concerns.

Very arrogant and argumental

I had the misfortune of meeting Dr. Cooper at my most recent CC appointment. After scheduling an appointment the same day due to symptoms that seemed serious to me, and as a follow up to a recent health issue Dr. Cooper informed me that she could not answer any of my questions because she was not my primary care physician, I explained that I had been trying to locate a PCP since my fave doctor ever was no longer taking patients (this was a result of my deliquincy not hers) and i had admitted to bouncing around to try and find one. She was rude, dismissive and refused to even check the areas of concern. I have two doctors in my immediate family, I was flabbergasted and horrified that people, with insurance, who pay bills or anyone would be subject to this type of treatment. I left feeling embarrassed and ashamed that I had even called that day, and driven a half hour out of my way to be seen as soon as possible, and left still feeling the symptoms she dismissed. With all of the talented… doctors at Cleveland Clinic there is absolutely no reason to try this one.

Dr. Cooper is a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Cooper is a very kind and caring physician. She takes her time, really listens to me and has a great sense of humor. I have complete faith in her and I really feel like she cares about me as a person.
