Dr. Cathy Marie Funk, MD

Cathy Funk is a great doctor, my dad really likes her, she takes time to really understand the situations , and you can tell she really cares about patients. Her staff is friendly and returns calls in a very timely matter. This area is lucky to have her!!

I have had Dr Funk as my doctor since 2005. I was in the ER and she was the doctor on duty from day one she has stuck by me through so many different Health issues, I've cried on her shoulder She's laughed with me, she has sat on the edge of my hospital bed and held my hand. I feel like she's my family. She has called me at home and checked on me. She's seen me at work in the hallway having a melt down and she still stops even knowing how busy she is and takes the time to ask me if I'm ok. She is the best you don't see a lot of doctors now a days giving you that personal touch.

She is the best physician I have ever met. For a complicated case, she is through and complete. She isn’t always on time, but that’s because she spends her time with you. She is completely focused. Her brilliance is like no other.

Dr. Funk is a knowledgable doctor and compassionate however there are serious issues with the staff. The receptionist is nice to your face but I have heard her and nurse Durin both be very unprofessional and talk about patients as well as their health conditions within a foot of the waiting room. Michelle is fake and can be very nasty as well as Durin. Both can be very rude on the phone as well. When calling patients Durin is nasty, rude, unprofessional and speaks to us like we are not only dirt but like we are children and dumb ones at that. You feel bullied and ganged up on and you know that they spend their time gossiping and complaining about the patients. I have never seen such an unprofessional staff of this magnitude. This atmosphere makes going there upsetting and stressful despite the good doctor.

Expect to wait a while to see Dr. Funk. She takes time with each patient and really listens! She is a superb doctor with up-to-date knowledge and an excellent "beside manner."

I am writing this because of how rudely I was spoken to on the phone by Michelle. If I hadn't witnessed an incident before this with my own ears, I probably would not even be doing this now. I could hear her wild cackling as I was sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. She pretends to be nice to your face, but that is fake. I want anyone who is thinking of becoming a patient here to think twice

Dr. Funk and her staff have been gracious at all times. She takes the time to make sure that my concerns have been addressed. I have been suprised at how much research she puts into my medical issues. Referrals have been quite prompt.

Don't go here. Dr Funk has good manner but support staff and nurses are lacking. Took many weeks to get a referral and many more to get orders issued. Received a bill for entire service the same time the insurance company did. Also she does not respond to emails or web site inquiries.

Dr Funk is a truly outstanding Dr. She has been taking excellent care of us for approximately ten years and has refered us to truly first class specialists.
