Arrogant and condescending. Felt rushed and that care received was below standard.

Highly professional, thorough and kind, my treatment was better than I could have imagined, the doctor, his staff and the hospital staff were all very attentive, caring and professional, his office as well the hospital were clean and well equiped and my treatment was beyond good.

I had seen an orthopedic doctor in Martinsville and he ordered an MRI for my ruptured biceps tendon. I insisted on an open MRI. When it was done I requested that the results be sent to Dr. MIERISCHE also since my husband had seen him for his shoulder. Dr. MIERISCHE's nurse called me to schedule for surgery which needed to be done within two weeks of injury. If I had stayed with the Martinsville doctor, my return appointment was beyond the two weeks. Every time I turn on the water faucet, twist off a jar lid, or use my dominant hand, I think of Dr. MIERISCHE and am so grateful to him for the surgery he did for me.

I got bit by a spider in 2008. I treated with multiple specialists from NRV to Wake Forest. Once I found Dr. Mierisch in 2009, and he examined my hand and ordered an MRI. The surgery was scheduled quickly. Thanks to Dr. Mierisch I still have my hand and able to use it. He saved my hand. I will always be very grateful to Dr. Mierisch for his knowledge and skills. He is truly a great addition to S W Virginia. I have referred several people to him and will continue to send referrals.

This doctor is excellent, but his staff has been a pain to deal with at every turn. Whether they deliberately try to misunderstand you or whether they just can't comprehend plain English, I don't know. Every attempt at communication has been met with dumbfounded stares, or glares of superiority and it takes multiple phone calls to get information straight. Keep the doctor! He's great. But he could hire all new staff and it would be a huge improvement.

I found him knowledgeable and explains everything. Appointments are terrible even when you have seen for over a year they book you 3 yes 3 months out. This is really not appropriate for any doctor .

Poor experience....

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Mierisch. He explained my problem and the treatment at every step. Highly recommended.
