Dr. Cecil Emerson Bassett, MD

WORST doctor I have ever had. He wasn't my OBGYN but he was the doctor on duty when I went into labor. A decade after my child's birth, I'm still traumatized by how rude, inappropriate, and disrespectful he was towards me as a first time mom and woman of color. STAY AWAY from this horrible human being.

Had an unexpected procedure and dr. Bassett was the ob/gyn on call. Seemed nice at first but freaked me out before the procedure and then refused to give me something for anxiety. (That he caused.) My boyfriend did not like how explained things and how they went while I was still waking up from the procedure. In fact my bf just said "ok, we are done talking"" when he was being rude about the problem I was having.

Amazing doctor who makes sure you are comfortable and never rushes you.

to be a very kind and considerate physician that is thorough and has always explained things to my satisfaction. He follows up with a call to make sure all is going well at home after being discharged, he has a professional bedside manner that even my husband noticed. Reading some of the negative reviews I wanted to share our positive experiences about Dr. Bassett. Just a thought and I could be so very wrong but are the negative reviews written by the same person?

Dr. Basset is the single worst Doctor I have even experienced. He was rude, refused to answer point blank questions and treated a very serious and traumatizing event for me very flippantly. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Bassett is a wonderful Doctor! I have had a history of medical concern regarding fertility. Dr. Bassett got me through those issues to 2 successful pregnancies. I trust his opinion and value his care. I just got a positive pregnancy test and look forward to being in his care for the duration!If you want a professional, experienced and honest OB/GYN, look no further.

My experience with Dr. Basset has been that he is extremely competent and I have received the best of care possible. My family and I have been most appreciative of his bedside manner and his compassion in dealing with sensitive health issues. He has been generous with his time in regards to make sure we understood the choices that were available to us at the time. For us knowing that someone was genuinely concerned for our well being, giving us the best of care has been something that we are grateful for. We appreciate his skills and knowledge and his application of them.

I have been Dr. Bassett's patient for nearly 19 years. I find him to be caring, compassionate, and very competent. He helped me through a very difficult pregnancy and birth,and throughout the years into menopause. His staff is wonderful as well!

Dr. Bassett has been my doctor for over a decade. He has successfully treated my moderate dysplasia, now I get "normal" pap ears. Delivered my 2 daughters vaginally. He has a very calming personality, I am always at ease in his care. He is a wonderful Dr. I just had my Mirena IUD removed today, will be trying for baby #3, he will be with us every step of the way. He came in for both deliveries on his day off-answered the page even though nurses said he doesn't need to come in on day off.
