I had gallbladder surgery with Dr. Devino. She was pleasant during my first appointment/consultation for surgery. However, on the day of surgery I expected to see her prior to the surgery. The only person who spoke to me prior to surgery was the anesthesiology intern because she had to ask me questions. I asked her twice, on two separate occasions, to see Dr. Devino before the surgery and it never happened. I didn't see or hear from anyone after the surgery about the results until I called from the hospital and then a resident that was participating in the surgery called me back. When I had to schedule my post-op appointment, Dr. Devino's office tried to book it with her PA and I refused. It appears that Dr. Devino doesn't want to do the post-op appointments. I had specific questions that I wanted to ask her. I got the appointment with her and she walked into the room and "What's the problem?", apparently because I insisted on seeing her instead of the PA. I know that she is supposed… to be a great surgeon but most of her interactions with me or lack of interactions made the experience very unsettling.

She is awful -- avoid at all cost

I found dr divino to be straight forward and to the point about my surgery. Laura her PA and Dr Connors(?) were great and they explained the procedure thoroughly and were extremely sympathetic to my nervousness. While my surgery was not life-threatening, they still took the time to ease my anxieties Would highly recommend.

Poor bedside manners. Never thoroughly explained procedure and recovery.

A surgeon we had no option with, Very neglectful doctor. My fiancé had critical life surgery with Dr.Devino, during the time Dr.Devino told me that she is not giving up on her, this all changed as soon as my fiancé was discharged. Having an open abdominal wound, leaking bile non-stop, Dr.Devino never followed up on the patient even rejecting to schedule any followup appointments, when other hospital network surgeons started to concern about my fiancé's health, Dr.Devino, without even looking ones at the patients progress after a year would block any surgical intervention while she kept leaking bile from her surgical wounds. The doctors oath to care for the sick goes out the window completely with the “cold” dr.Devino

I have no doubt that she's a skilled surgeon; came highly recommended by my primary doctor at Mt. Sinai. I'm that type of patient who has to feel absolutely comfortable with any doctor I see, or I'll abandon ship. My comfort usually stems from feeling respected, and I've often bragged about the focus on care provided by ALL the players at Mt. Sinai. Seriously, from security, to billing, to reception, to the medical staff, I'm happy to call Mt. Sinai my home for ALL my medical needs. That said, it pains me to say Dr. Divino has an awful affect, which lent itself to my apprehension to continue my procedure with her, while requesting another surgeon from my primary. I found her to be arrogant, dismissive and abrupt. She might be great at what she does, but she ain't the only show in town.

Dr Divino treated me with the most curtesy and up most respect. She is a very intelligent and knowledgeable surgeon. She got me back to my normal lifestyle and still continues to treat me. I love this Dr and would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Divino and her staff are wonderful!

Dr. Divino performed Laparoscopic colon surgery on me. The operation was textbook perfect with excellent follow up. All was clearly explained and all questions answered before and after surgery. This doctor really cares about her patients.

I would recommend Dr. Divino to anyone that has a complex issue . She is highly skilled and compassionate and has excellent outcomes. Her staff is professional and takes the time to listen and help in any way they can . Dr. Divino saved my life and I cannot day enough about how amazing she is.
