Dr. Celso Benedito Lobao, MD

Dr. Lobabo saved my life! I started seeing him after a month long stay at Holly Hill. I was a complete mess and put me back together. I’ve suffered from bi-polar, anxiety and PTSD for more than 20 years. I have seen more than a dozen doctors and have never had someone who spent as much time trying to understand my symptoms. He prescribed Vraylar for bi-polar and it works ten times better than anything I have tried (I’ve tried every medication) I highly recommend him. I have my life back and have never been happier and healthier.

Absolutely the worst psychiatrist I have ever known. At first, he seems likable and tries out of the box methods, which is great when you've tried so many different medications. The problem is, he refuses to listen about side effects, claiming that they must have started later than they did (so he clearly does not chart well and document your concerns). He prescribes lithium, which has SO MANY side effects, and when you aren't tolerating it well, refuses to listen. I had psychiatrists afterwards (moved across the country) who were astonished and dismayed that I had been prescribed this and was not listened to, as they assured me the side effects where from lithium. Unsurprisingly, as soon as I stopped, the side effects lessened. Furthermore, he changed my dose of two other medications without telling me and then refused to meet with me to discuss it.

I was under his care during a difficult stay at Holly Hill. I came in there prepared to talk about a treatment plan, and outpatient plan- while he was preoccupied on his phone. He rarely gives more than 10 minutes of his time to patients housed there. That's if he shows up. He's arrogant, has a terrible bedside manner, and lacks any empathy for his patients. I don't understand why people like himself, become doctors in such a sensitive field. I'm pretty sure he printed his degree off Google, and meandered his way into the field of medicine. I don't recommend his "care," to any individual seeking professional help, rather that be inpatient therapy- or outpatient.

Absolutely the BEST! I have suffered from depression, anxiety, and OCD. He really listens to you and wants you to get back to being yourself.

If you want meds only-he's your man. But do your own research to see why some Dr.'s are so quick to medicate you, but show no interest in your overall healthcare... What a disappointment ð??¡ð??¡ð??¡
