Dr. Cesar Alberto Matos, MD

Any positive review on here was obviously written by him or his staff. This evil vile man prescribed me 5 medications after talking to me for 2 minutes on tele health. He blamed me not having a boyfriend for the cause of my depression and anxiety. I had just lost my job at the start of the pandemic yet says it’s my fault for not having a social life or boyfriend. He prescribed me a full milligram of Xanax to take 3 times a day I had a seizure and almost died when I hadn’t even finished the bottle. Two different antidepressants and gabapentin for a perfectly healthy 23 year old??? He is dismissive and does not care about the long term damage he causes to his patients. You should not be a psychiatrist still practicing. The ER doctor I talked to after the disaster he caused said I should have never been started on more than 0.25 mg of Xanax. Other patients of his I have encountered know of how evil and negligent he is. Do not come to this man he will ruin your life.

Dr. Matos is an incredible psychiatrist. The care and compassion he showed me was more than I could ever have expected. He was also a strong advocate on my behalf with the work comp insurance company. I would give Dr. Matos a 10 Star rating (not just a 5 Star one.) and recommend him highly. *note: I chose to see Dr. Matos after watching him with other patients and hearing their opinions about him. As a Registered Nurse myself I was also aware of his excellent professional reputation.

he doesn't prescribe medications well gives the wrong pills to the wrong people lost in his own world.

He is a great doctor

Staff is careless and treat you like a crazy person! Horrible attitude....I only go because my awesome therapist recommended him to prescribe my medication but other than that, I don't expect any type of help from that office. Sad but true. Dr. Matos seems like a nice person, but I get the impression that so many years dealing with people with probably severe mental illness has led him to treat the rest of us with only mild to moderate mental issues like if we don't matter.

He is very patient when you speak to him. Remembers everything you say.Very professional.Very knowlegable in his work,cares for his patient and is bilingual.

First of all, they know I obviously have a condition - but yet accuse me of "ignoring bills" which I have already paid and have reciepts for! If I am missing something - let me know in a polite way! The staff also unprofessionally told my family that I "abuse of prescription medication" how **** can you abuse of Trileptal or Lexapro?? I want to know!! Besides, how would they know what is in my chart if it is so "confidential" I am 30+ years old... why are they giving out this false information? I feel that nobody in that office treats me as an important patient! They work for me, not me for them!! Dr.MATOS is awesome, doesnt pay much attention to my emotional needs or show any emotion when talking to me. He usually has to look at my file to remember my name and still ( after about 5 years) doesnt call me by my preferred name, still uses my birthname ..so i just gave up reminding him. I dont feel important as a patient at all.. I mean, I do like him as a person, but would like to feel… like an important patient

I am very diappointed with the service I have recieved from Dr. Matos and his staff these last few months. Since he has split from Dr. Igoa it seems like his staff doesn't care how you are treated and doesn't understand the severity someone being denied service can affect them. Walk-in appt. Yeah right..there is no such thing for them. (someone about to comit suicide and they tell you..."oh just go to the hospital and you'll be fine." Well that doesnt always work, sometimes just talking to the Dr. can make all the difference.

I have been seeing Dr matos for about ten years and he has change my life. His knowlodge and Practice improve a lot my quality of life. Also he is very reasoning when the patients does not have insurance. Also he gives medecine samples for the patients that can't afford to buy them. Also he has been charging for consultation the same amount for the last ten years to everybody. Good Bless you Dr Matos......Thank you Dr matos
