Don’t waste your time

I started on a new medication a month ago. It works well so far. I was researching the medication last week and it turns out it interacts with my birth control. Dr. Munoz is aware of all the medications I take, therefore he was definitely aware of my birth control when he started me on my new medication. I called to tell the front desk about my interaction, after calling for 4 days straight. Finally they answered. I told them what I found out and she sounded so annoyed. She yelled “okay!!!” and transferred me to his medical assistant. He is a miserable excuse for a doctor. Save yourselves the awful wait times, the awful treatment he provides, and the awful attitude from wait staff. People in the waiting room complain about his ridiculous staff and wait times. I already found a new psychiatrist.

All the other patients in the lobby complain about Dr Munoz, saying his wait times are outrageous, he is incompetent in his work, and they only see him because the office takes their insurance. The waiting room is miserable and dusty and dirty. There are so many people, and there’s around 45 chairs, all waiting to see the doctor. He has never once taken me back sooner than 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment. Don’t waste your time.

Like others have said he really tries to push the ECT after only trying one medication. He prescribed one medication and when that didn't help my husband he refused to try any others only pushed the ECT.

Dr. Munoz is kind, and supportive. I hope that I am able to stick with him after Medicare stopped covering my previous psychiatrist.

The people who answer the phones and the nurse line is always very rude. I had emergencies I few times and they acted like they could careless. Being this is a mental health facility, I would make sure that the patients are handled with care and compassion.

He pushes relentlessly for ECT and cites Dr. OZ and Marie Claire Magazine...

I have never known any dr. in all my 59 yrs. that has treated me as if he actually cared how I feel.
