Dr. Chad Michael Achilles, MD

Dr. Achilles is always pleasantly professional. The injections I have received from him have given me great relief. Dr. Achilles makes me feel comfortable and never rushed. His staff is kind and welcoming. Thank You Dr. Achilles & Staff!

Dr. Achilles is initially cordial but soon his pompous self appears. He is right regardless of facts showing him otherwise and then he becomes glib as a defence mechanism. Pretentious bedside manner that flees as his self righteous and God complex takes over.

Chad is the only dr. I would let do injections in my back. He is very knowledgeable and understanding as to what is going on with back pain. Has never one time in five years hurts with an injection. Can't say that for two others. Great, kind person.

This doctor was horrible!! He treated me as if I had no business being there which I was just 3 months post op from double, yes double back surgery!!!!!! Save yourself the grief and embarrassment!!!!

I've seen Dr. Achilles off and on for multiple years and he is an incredible doctor. You really know he cares about you and that's very important in my book. Also, he is just an overall great person so it makes it that more enjoyable to see him. Highly recommend to anyone.

I was referred by my surgeon to see Dr. Achilles in 2009 with a Herniated disc. I never got any relief from the epidural injections, and was treated like a drug seeker when I informed Dr. Achilles. I had surgery by Dr. Wray and thankfully it fixed that particular herniated disc. Sadly, this year I found out(not through Dr. Achilles, but by another Surgeon i sought out due to the lack of attention I received from Dr. Achilles)I have a genetic disc disorder, and I am suffering from a protruding disc that is pinching a nerve in my cervical spine. Obviously I am severe pain, and so I went back to Dr. Achilles hopeing this time I would receive the care I deserved. WRONG...DR. Achilles apparently has a God complex, along with the worst bedside manner I have ever seen in a doctor. Instead of explaining to me my conditon he said "you have NORMAL wear and tear of your disc" which highly offended me since I wouldnt be at the doctor's office if I had normal wear and tear. I am 29 years old,in… great shape,and have never been in any type of accident to injure my neck; therefore even lay-people can see it is not NORMAL. Anyhow, I would not reccomend this doctor to my worst enemy. He is rude, speaks to his patients as if they are 5 years old, and makes light of the pain one is experiencing. Please seek out another pain doctor if you are experiencing pain because I do not want anyone to have to feel as belittled as I did for hurting.

Dr. Achilles has the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. I am a nurse in the ED at Grady which is a level 1 trauma center in downtown Atlanta. I accompanied my sister to her appointment with Dr. Achilles because my sister kept telling me he would not tell her what was wrong with her. After meeting Dr. Achilles I realized that my sister was right and I was appalled. I recommended she seek a second opinion elsewhere prior to getting any injections or medications from this poorly trained physician. Dr. Achilles did not inform my sister of her medical diagnosis, he did not offer education about preventative care or home care instructions to improve her quality of life. He was rude and acted as if he did not have time to deal with our questions. I will admit I did not inform him that I was a nurse. I just observed. I was appalled by his bedside manner and his inability to properly educate his patients. I would not advise anyone to see this physician. He is a waste of time and… money.

I had an appointment with Dr. Chad Achilles on March25, 2011 for a surgical procedure in my neck. I had only seen him one time before on August 7, 201 ...

Went to this doctor when my first doctor retired. He totally misdiagnosed my condition. He gave six treatments and not one of them helped! When he is extremely busy, he gets a little short and abrupt. Unfortunately, he did not help me get better.
