Meet Dr. Anderson
Dr. Anderson believes that patient involvement and education are essential to successful treatment and beautiful smiles. With the use of dental photography and intra-oral images he helps his patients visualize their treatment alternatives. Tailoring each procedure and treatment to the wants and needs of his patients, Dr. Anderson combines esthetic considerations with functional requirements. In addition to transforming and renewing smiles, he corrects bites and realigns jaw joints, balancing the concepts of esthetic smile reconstruction with functionality.
The doctor's practice philosophy is to treat every patient like they are part of his family with no compromises being made in treatment or materials. His compassionate and gentle manner is appreciated by his patients and has made many patients who were once fearful to see a dentist comfortable and relaxed during their procedures. This can only be understood by meeting …the doctor and his staff and experiencing how dentistry and the doctor patient relationship should be.
Dr. Anderson is a native of the central valley. He grew up in Taft, a small south valley town, and after high school moved to Fresno to pursue a degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry from California State University, Fresno. He also received a Masters Degree in Biology from California State University, Fresno. Dr. Anderson was accepted to the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine located in Boston, Massachusetts. During his four years of dental training he received numerous awards for academic achievement and was selected to the highly competitive honors teaching program where he mentored other dental students and performed various research projects. Dr. Anderson was very involved in research during his education at Tufts completing sixteen studies. This is more than any previous student in the school’s history. He has published several peer reviewed journal articles and numerous abstracts in the areas of materials and clinical research. Some of these can be found at the publications link on this web site. He was also appointed to the position of faculty professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine upon graduation. With such strong ties to cutting edge research, our office was selected to be one of only two other offices in the United States to be an outside test facility for Proctor and Gamble, the makers of Crest and Oral-B.
Dr. Anderson has an unyielding commitment to quality dental care and patient comfort, which is evident in all aspects of his dental practice. Realizing that perfection in cosmetic and implant dentistry requires staying on the cutting edge of technological and surgical advancements in the field, Dr. Anderson travels across the nation to learn from the top educators in dentistry where he typically performs three times the amount of continuing education than what is required by the State of California. Studying with these individuals allows Dr. Anderson to provide his patients the very best in dental care.
The doctor is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Fresno Madera Dental Society. In addition, he is a general member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Anderson is also a member of the Christian Medical Association and LIGA the Flying Doctors of Mercy where he performs necessary dental care for those who do not have access to treatment.
Dr. Anderson and his wife Hope were married in 1995.  Hope who was born and raised in Fresno has taught elementary school in the Central Unified School District and most recently instructed learning disabled children in junior high and high school. They have two children, Aaron and Alison. They enjoy a variety of activities including BMX bicycle racing, where they sponsor the local Fresno Community Team, competing in triathlons; short course and Ironman distance, snow skiing, mountain biking, and traveling.
