Dr. Chad Donald Costley, MD

Dr. Costley has continually spent more time with me listening to me, examining me, and explaining my diagnoses and treatment than any other doctor I have ever seen. His office is clean and modern, and I actually get in at the time of my appointment or very shortly thereafter. I now take my daughter to see him as well. Wonderful doctor.

Dr. Costley's office is clean, and his staff is courteous. It is very easy to get in touch with him and to get an appointment, and he tends to spend a little bit longer than the fifteen minutes required by insurance companies. He is a thoughtful doctor (but strictly within the confines of what he learned in medical school.) So if you are a baby boomer who just needs the occasional physical or antibiotic, he may be a good fit for you. HOWEVER, if you have more complex health issues, or you take a more active role in your own healthcare and dare to have opinions about what you think is going on with you, caveat emptor. In his mind, he's the doctor, and he will argue with you if you attempt to engage too fully in your own healthcare. To him, holistic medicine borders on quackery. When I tried to explain to him that I had been treated by a holistic doctor and cured of a miserable condition, he dismissed my experience, argued with and belittled me, and I left the office in tears. In my… situation, he was more concerned with being right than hearing my story, even though he might have learned something. Before medicine became such a profitable business, doctors used to learn from their patients and focus on compassion. Unfortunately, now, it seems to often be more about them than about you.

Nothing was wrong with me per se. Went in to get a physical and discuss some eczema issues. Dr. Costly listened very well and was thorough. Thanks.

Staff is friendly and quick. Dr. Costley talks WITH you and together you discuss options. He doesn't rush into an rx antibiotic and then shoo you out the door.

I called late one day for an appointment for urgent care and got one for the beginning of the next day. The office was bright & clean and the doctor and his staff were very professional. I have needed a GP for about 18 months since my last one moved away and Dr. Costley will be it. He listens and diagnoses very well and I never felt like I was being rushed like I have experienced with other medical practices.

Dr. Costley was not knowledgeable about the tests he gave me. As a result, he let a serious medical condition (a systemic bacterial infection) go untreated, suggesting that there was nothing wrong with me. A better doctor was able to diagnose the problem rapidly and provide the correct treatment. If I had not seen another doctor, I would have continued to be terribly sick and have bad complications down the road, due to Dr. Costley's ignorance.
