Dr. Chad Michael Ferguson, MD

My mother saw Dr. Ferguson after a referral for an ankle repair. He instead talked my mother into an ankle fusion. Wish we had never seen him; his recommendations were not standard of care and his surgical skill was as if he had never done an ankle procedure. She had excruciating pain post op and for months. We eventually had to go to Duke. The ankle fusion had to be revised. When the duke surgeon saw what was done in surgery, he commented on the technique even if done correctly had not been standard of care for several, several years. My mom will never walk the same. It took years from her and impacts her quality of life. Protect yourself and your loved ones; do not see this surgeon.

He repaired my 15 yr old daughters tendon. After surgery daughter could not move toes, stand for30 minutes, Foot swell and feel on fire. Tried to get second opinion in Knoxville, no Drs. would see her. Ended up at Wake Forest and after many test the result was nerve damage, due to Surgery. Would not recommend unless you want a handicap.

I put this surgery off as long as possible. Almost overnight, it became an urgent necessity. I 'interviewed' two doctors, Dr. Ferguson being one of them. Felt confident about my decision to go with him, but was still petrified about the surgery because of numerous horror stories. Will add here that I've heard a number of those stories since my surgery. Thankfully, I cannot relate to any of those stories. I have given his name to a number of people with a high recommendation.

Very pleased with out come of surgery. He has great bed side matters and very professional . Would highly recommend
