Dr. Risolvato has owned Lima Dental Associates since 2005 when he and his family moved to Lima from Columbus. His undergraduate study was at Bowling Green State University. Risolvato received his D.D.S. from Ohio State University (OSU) in 2003, followed by two years of practice at a clinic in Loraine, Ohio, which served low income families. Today, Dr. Risolvato is an adjunct faculty member of OSU College of Dentistry. He frequently gives lectures and training courses to OSU students and faculty and hosts dental interns from the school as members of the Ohio Project and is deeply committed to oral health education for his patients and via community outreach.
While educating dental students, patients and the wellness community at-large, Dr. Risolvato also continues to invest in his own continuing education, exceeding the minimum state requirements each …year. He has had advanced training in surgical placement/restoration of dental implants from the Midwest Implant Institute and Zimmer Implant Institute, as well as over 100 hours of advanced training on Cerec chairside all ceramic restorations. Additionally, Dr. Risolvato has completed advanced training in root canal therapy, comprehensive dental rehabilitation and practice management and leadership.
Prior to pursuing his passion for dentistry and attending dental school, Dr. Risolvato served in the United States Navy as a nuclear power plant operator. An avid amateur chef and professional cook, Risolvato also worked in food service for several years, including managing the NBC cafe at the 100th Olympics in Atlanta, GA-1996.
Risolvato was born in upstate New York, lived several years in the South and graduated from high school in Cleveland, Ohio in 1991. A devoted father, Dr. Erik and his wife Christa, have three children with whom he enjoys many hobbies, including swimming, biking, scuba diving and cooking. He is a financial and in-kind supporter of: OSU College of Dentistry, the Lima YMCA, the Lima Symphony, Lima Locos, Cross-roads, Samaritan House of Lima, Encore Theatre, CIAO, The Equestrian Therapy Program at Fassett Farm and other community organizations.

Dr. Risolvato also founded the Lima Dental Kids’ Club, to engage young people in lifelong, good oral health. (He usually dresses as an OSU football player at the annual Healthy Goblins Bash for Halloween.)

Dr. Clemens founded Lima Dental in 1956 after serving as a dentist in the United States Military during the Korean War. He is also a veteran of World War II. Clemens graduated from high school in Lancaster, Ohio, followed by an undergraduate degree from West Virginia University and received his D.D.S. from the Ohio State University School of Dentistry. He has completed numerous post-graduate and continuing education programs in the dental profession, along with having practiced for over 50 years.
Dr. Clemens has long been devoted to the Lima community, and is a big fan of area high school and college sports. He plays golf and enjoys fishing in his spare time.
