Life changing experience, Woke up paralyzed from the waist down, Left rehab 3 weeks later on a walker. I will never be the same. Never even a phone call after my follow up, where he was all smiles...Will never know the real story regarding my surgery. Stay away !!!

A great Dr. I have moved from CO. So sorry I am.Not able to have Dr Prusmack as my back Dr. He is very dedicated, knowledgeable. His staff is great. Thank you Dr for the dedication.

I'm riddled with pain it's 3 AM and I have been up all night with spasms

He did an amazing job on my herniated disc(L4-L5). I was basically unable to move for 8 months until I had surgery. I am back to a very active lifestyle and aggressively snowboarding almost every day. I feel 28 again. His post operation PT and recommended supplements helped out the recovery process in a big way as well. I personally highly recommend Dr. Prusmack.

I went to Dr. Prusmack, purely by coinicdence, after a collision that messed up my C5 C6 disk. The surgery went so very well that I was able to resume swimming competitively after only 8 weeks. I can now play tennis, swim competitive masters, and have full mobility in my neck! Based on my experience, I simply cannot understand why anyone would risk letting anyone else operate on their spine!

I hear Dr. Prusmack is a fabulous surgeon but it is just not worth the hassle of communicating with his office. You NEVER get a person when you call and in my experience they take days (when calling to make an initial appointment) to weeks (when calling as told to for a follow-up conversation after an appointment with his PA) to return the call (and then there is their snarky message telling you not to call back because that is just going to slow their response time even more). There must be other excellent surgeons in Denver that have a office willing to communicate with you.

I have called for a week and a half and have sent emails to make initial appointment and NO ONE have ever called me back.

Had surgery in 2014. Immediately after surgery he told me he didn’t have the right size hardware but he did file it to make it fit. Had pain shortly thereafter, he no longer took my insurance. In pain for three years until recently when I had surgery with new doctor. Dr Prusmack had put in the wrong hardware. It had broken apart doing major damage to my body. I was in hospital a month because of his negligence plus three years of pain. Wrote him a letter regarding the issue, no response whatsoever. So there you go, would never recommend someone who simply doesn’t care.

Until 4 weeks ago I could not walk a block without having to rest my back by bending down repeatedly; had a hard time going up more than one flight of stairs due to stabbing pains in my back and left groin; work as an ED nurse was very painful and for several years I had not been able to stand completely straight. I had L1-L4 fusion by Dr Prusmack( for spinal stenosis, one herniated disc and several "bulging" ones, scoliosis as well as front to back twisting of my lower spine!)...and all I can say that I should have had it MUCH SOONER. I am now able to walk without pain, stand up straight... and working with PT to strengthen the muscles that had atrophied ( shrunk) from not being able to use them properly. Would recommend him to anyone needing any spinal procedures. Now I just have to remember that bone healing ( screws) takes 6-8 weeks...so NO BENDING at the waist like I had been doing for 9 years!!

11 years and no nerve pain or back pain. I've recommended Dr. Prusmack to several people and all had great results.
