Having dealt with a neurological voice disorder for over25 years has been frustrating and depressing. It has been a looong time since I found a Dr. Who will really listen and take his time. For a while I was very afraid that Botox for my chords was never going to work again. This time was perfect and I cannot express my gratitude enough for him. There is a reason he is referred to as the best in Austin.

Dr. Whited is compassionate, sharp and down to earth. I believe his experience gives him the confidence to make the perfect decisions for my care and I trust him and his superstar staff with my care.

The doctors and Alex Baker P.A. are super at the 3705 Medical Parkway office. The new office staff at checkout are unbelievably rude to long standing patients. The checkout woman made me pay a $40 copay when my copay is $30. It took over 3 months for the billing staff to apply the overpayment to my allergy vial billing. I have been a patient since 2013. May 26, 2020, I was confronted with a screaming checkout office worker when I dropped off my allergy shot slip, for which I have NO copay. I have been getting shots weekly for 18 months. I don't want to wait or interact with anyone I don't have to (Covid19). I don't trust this person and I don't want to be confronted or bullied into paying a copay that I know is not applicable, nor wait for her to find the answer which I already know -- 18 months experience. When you have a billing/charge problem, it is the most time consuming task to get corrected. Avoid this location at least.

Dr. Whited is a voice specialist, and he is the first doctor I've seen who was able to treat a chronic cough as more than simply a symptom of some other malady. Although I was quite reluctant to undertake parts of the treatment he suggested, which included medications for numerous contributors to the cough (rather than just one "cause"), I was persuaded to give it a try. The results after the first 6 weeks were nothing short of amazing. The cough has diminished by about 95%. All that remains is some chest congestion, which is proving more stubborn than the other contributors. We will continue to work with the medications for a while longer, to slowly reduce the doses. I am very optimistic, for the first time in 3 years!
