He's a fantastic neurologist. I wish more doctors were as good as him.

Couldn't hope for someone more knowledgeable in my disease. You are in good hands with Dr. Karam.

He did not follow the proper guidelines and protocol for conducting a SFEMG. No notice of gestvwas given during my hospitalization, so my RNS was done in a freezing cold room, & my SFEMG was done with Mestinon in my system (taken 90min earlier). Those who have Myasthenia Gravis, especially seronegative know the importance of not having Mestinon in your system for 1-3 days before a SFEMG. Dr.Karam did not care about this when I told him, & he stated that Seronegative was extremely rare & he didn’t really believe in it. He also stated that he did not think I had MG before he performed the test. I was there for 5 days after spending 8 days in my local hospital. No other tests were performed. The only thing he seemed interested in was taking away my diagnosis which has taken away all of my treatment in one fell swoop. Bed side manner is not important to me, what’s important to me is finding doctors who try to figure out what is going on and listens to the patient without a preconceived… notion in their mind before even seeing them.

I appreciate that Dr. Karam listens to the issues I have, and follows up when I have additional questions or concerns.
