Great doctor. Only recommends necessary treatment. He doesn’t do surgery or give you a medication unless you need it. Very friendly with a good bedside manner. He made me feel at ease and answered all my many questions.

Great bedside manner, friendly, very intelligent.

Dr Assal is the director of an EPgroup that has a monopoly in Charleston and CAMC. He refused to provide my father life-altering care due to his EGO. He also denied our request for a second opinion despite pleading from even the hospitals chief medical officer. As a medical professional, I can assure you my father symptoms were cut and dry, Symptomatic bradycardia, and he needed a simple pacemaker insertion which Dr Assal vehemently refused. I have never met anybody so arrogant rude and insistent. I hate to recommend you travel for your health care, however I cannot advise you to see Dr. Assal. Perhaps one of his associates may have more integrity than he- But until then do yourself a favor and go anywhere else Huntington, Morgantown, Columbus, Cleveland, or Pittsburgh. I cannot wait until he leaves Charleston West Virginia

dr. assal is ineffectual at best and mortally dangerous at worst. take your loved ones elsewhere.
