Dr. Chaitali Sarkar, MD

I have stuck with her for 6 years. She is the worst doctor I’ve ever had. Brusque, rude, no compassion, not willing or able to use critical thinking, and refers to a specialist routine things that most doctors would take care of themselves. Looking for a new doc!! When I was devastated after my son died, she said nothing and avoided eye contact.

No eye contact, no compassion, no open-ended questions to try to understand the problem. She seemed like she had no interest in her patient and I left not ever wanting her as my doctor in the future.

She is so caring and listen to your everyword. She is great with my son with special needs. I highly recommend her to everyone for caring doctor who truly cares

While premier medical associates is a good operation, Dr. Sarkar is a sorry excuse for a doctor and I personally will not be going back to see her. She doesn’t attempt to have any relationship with her patients, refers every problem to someone else, and is so hyper focused on weight that she fails to see the underlying issues. She is rude and seems like she doesn’t have the time to spend with her patients. She lets her patients leave when they are clearly struggling and doesn’t try to help fix it. She only refers you to someone else and tells you to lose weight.

Well, to be fair, we all start somewhere in our professional lives, but with physicians I truly believe medical schools should not only screen students for academic prowess and volunteer work, but also for those people who have compassionate and personable bedside manner. Dr. Sarkar seems competent, but I wouldn't say that her bedside manner is the most personal. If you are ok with the run of the mill shuttle in and out formal impersonal feel in a physician and office staff then this physician and office will suit you fine. I had a difficult time understanding her through her foreign accent at times. I wouldn't say that I felt empowered or encouraged by my experience. I will say that this physician wasn't quick to prescribe antibiotics for everything which is a good thing in my opinion.

Former patient of Dr. Sarkars. Loved her but staff in monroeville pa is awful. I switched drs. after I realized how incompetent the staff there is. First, they never ordered my tests results from my previous dr., then they sent me for an MRI and set me up with an appt. with their neurologist but never sent the results to him, they drew blood from me and in my way home called me back because something went wrong so I had to have blood redrawn, then I was scheduled for surgery and they failed to send appropriate paperwork to surgeon. Just a disaster dealing with them. So glad I switched.
