Dr. Chalam Mahadevan, MD

I would not recommend this practice based on my experience with Dr. Chalam Mahadevan. During my ultrasound appointment, I brought a book by Pearl Cleage. Dr. Mahadevan commented on the author's last name and made what I understood to be a joke comparing it to the word "cleavage." He said, "if you add a letter it turns to something else, hehe." I told him I didn't understand what he meant, and the exam continued. Afterward, while discussing my care, he rubbed my knees repeatedly in a way that made me uncomfortable. He then returned to the same joke, and I responded that the word he seemed to be referring to was spelled differently. Throughout the interaction, I felt uncomfortable and found the comments unprofessional and unrelated to my medical care. The experience left me with concerns about professional boundaries, and I have since filed a complaint with the Georgia Composite Medical Board

I could write a book about the evils of this man. Go to any other doctor. Don’t make the mistake I did.
