Best drug store around Newport, Vermont. Every place else is expensive. Plus the pharmacist knows you personally.

There is an older man that sits on a walker inside the front of the store for hours. He sits there between cashier and the door, blocking customer traffic. Every time I go into Kinney’s, he sexually harasses me. He is so loud and inappropriate that other customers say “oh my God!”. I am a married woman who is NOT looking for a date. I complained once and he is still there. I will not be going back to the Derby Vermont Kinney’s. This man upsets me. I have plenty of other stores to choose from. It’s too bad that the manager allows this man to continue sitting in this store. Oh, and he always parks in handicapped parking for hours. He takes up a space that could be be used by a deserving handicapped customer. He drives a silver Dodge Ram. Thanks, A former customer

I am prescribed multiple medications now going on 15 years & have never run out early,over used etc. 5 mo ago after picking up my medications I immediately went home and placed my medications in my weekly medication sticks (mon,tues,wed etc) to find that one of my medications (opioid) was short. I did mention this to the head pharmacist (male) who denied my claim & implied I was being nefarious w/ regard to my claim and use of my medications. He also sited that each bottle is counted by a machine then by multiple pharmacists and the count is then circled. I informed him that none of my med bottles had been circled, to which the pharmacist told me “I was wrong end of story”. The following day I returned with the unmarked bottles. He totally back tracked upon seeing this & even sited and I quote “well the machine is very sensitive, even a speck of dust can register as a medication, which can alter the count”. The following month, at pickup I did a count on scene before leaving & all… medications were on count. The aforementioned pharmacist happened to not be on duty that day. The next month I returned to refill my months medications. I was in a rush and because I’m trusting was content to get going. Two days later I proceeded to put my medications in their med sticks to find I was short 13 of the same medication I found to be short two months earlier...ironically the same male pharmacist was the “last to count” the medications. Since then the last two months I have refilled, the same medication has been short & this last refill was short, get this...by 19 medications, again the same opioid and again while this same “head male” pharmacist was on duty. I have no recourse as I didn’t count all 5 different prescriptions at the pharmacy as others look on (a dangerous proposition these days) and I left the pharmacy only to discover the missing medications once home. Every time this has happened, this same lead pharmacist and last to count aka “certify” an appropriate count has been working. Side note: This pharmacy didn’t even have a semi private place (consultation room) to count medications (as required by law) until I made a complaint to my doctor regarding this issue. Over 15 years of taking medications and I have never had this problem, until now and only at the Newport Kinney Drug store have I ever had my medications come up short, let alone regularly. I am very disciplined regarding my medications to ensure that they do not end up in the wrong hands, after years of never being “short” I now am regularly short and it’s ALWAYS when this man is behind the counter. As a patient during an opioid crisis I’m not sure what to do as I’m concerned that I will be painted as mismanaging my medications aka profiled. Ultimately I would like it if a plain clothed officer went in with me to watch and conduct a count outside of the pharmacy immediately after refilling. I have NO DOUBTS that my medications are being stolen by a Kinney’s employee at Newport Kinney’s Drugs. Be aware. *Also, why are pharmacist not required like myself to regular urinalysis to safeguard from this happening?
