Dr. Chanaka Dinesha Wickramasinghe, MD

This doctor is so rude. He criticized me for "playing doctor" (his words) because I'd attempted to Google some questions and was, in his opinion, overly anxious about the conditions I battle. How dare he be so harsh and brusque, when he is supposed to be helpful and compassionate? Maybe he was having a bad day, but I was hurt by his scolding. Also, he was perturbed and annoyed that I used the patient portal to ask why my pre-knee replacement chest x-ray showed some calcification of the aorta but I had a zero coronary artery calcium score. My other Eisenhower doctors (three others) have never complained when I've asked questions in the patient portal. Wick owes me an apology.

DR Wick has been my cardiologist ever since he joined Eisenhower Hospital. He is a great doctor. He has overseen multiple surgeries and heart procedures on my heart. Everything from an aortic valve replacement to the Watchman procedure. Even though he didn’t do the actual procedures he was responsible for diagnosing the problems. He is up to date on new procedures for heart disease ie: The Watchman and CardioMEMS. I would and have recommended Dr Wickramasinghe to anyone needing a great cardiologist.

First new patient visit, 3 routine tests ordered, 3 separate days, same office, 7.5 hrs drive time locally, 5 visits in all without suggested phone consult involving 2 telephone screening calls. No followup facetime. Scheduler lied telling me he'd spend all day working to consolidate test times. They'd already been scheduled online, MyChart.
